Dinosaur Marketing and New Paradigms

Author: Lance Winslow

Is your marketing going the way of the dinosaur asks one Marketing Consultant and Author of several marketing books and he brings up a really good point. Perhaps you are using all the old methods of marketing and textbook marketing techniques of days gone by. For instance consider all the dead marketing methods, which simply do not work and actually can hurt your business; Fax Marketing, Telemarketing and Flyering Cars.

If you are still using these marketing techniques and not very careful how you do it, you are most likely breaking the law and causing hard to your business. If you are pissing potential new customers off you are not marketing you are chasing them away. And about the only business I know of where you can make money by sending people away is a travel agency you see?

Your future customers indeed wish to know of valuable products and services and if you have those they will wish to have the information. But they want the information on their terms, not on their windshield wipers, a disruptive dinnertime phone call or a fax on their thermal paper household fax machine, which costs them some $.45 or more.

In fact they would at that point rather settle these issues with another low cost solution; a $.35 bullet in you skull. Dinosaur Marketing can be a disaster and stomp out your business and thus you should be looking to new Paradigms in Marketing. Consider all this in 2006.
