30 Minutes Per Day To Better Health

The catch is the magic formula cannot be put into a pill. However, The magic formula can be acquired by simply volunteering 30 minutes of your day and..are you ready for this?...Walking. That is right. Walking for 30 minutes per day has been proven to give you all of the above health benefits! What a trade off!

After getting the go ahead from your doctor you can begin your walking program. Here are some ideas to help you incorporate 30 minutes of walking into your daily routine.

Walk to work or walk on your lunch break
Walk your dog once per day
I have a friend who walks in the parking lot while their child is in karate lessons
Walk at the mall
Check out local walking tracks or paths
Walk in your neighborhood with your children
Challenge yourself to find a way to fit walking into your life.
You can do it!

Remember; anything is better than nothing. If you can't commit to thirty minutes per day at this point then try to get 3 times per week in. If you simply start parking your car further away from your office you have taken a step in the right direction. Add to your routine as you are able. The important thing is that you get moving and start enjoying the benefits of a walking program.

Don't worry too much at this point about speed or distance. After you establish a habit of walking then you can start recording your speed and distance. Wear comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes Breathe deep, have fun, and enjoy the benefits that regular walking brings.
