This job is best left to an electrician as some specialty switching may be involved. You are best off to have your specialty kitchen lighting operating from one switch. And finally, lampshades, although they are somewhat dated, it is amazing what you can do with them in a room. Tricolored shades can be worked in with your dcor as might a shade that is lined with a metallic finish. You are limited only by your imagination when it comes to installing specialty lighting in that special room!
